Y
I'll go with Big Jets Half Day coverage again me thinks.
Have not gone now for the past 3 years after attending each one from 1989. TBH I don't actually miss it but enjoy the lads Photo efferts here! Saves me the dosh and lots effert, I think I would get just as much enjoyment sitting at the end of the runway at Lakenheath or Conningsby.

I don't remember them selling this quickly last year, did they reduce the number of earlybirds by any chance?

Re: RIAT 2020
Combination of the deliberately misleading wording of the ticketing page ( 'limited quantity' ) and lemmingism, I'd say.

They haven't sold 50% - they've given away most of them.

Edited because the alcohol/drug-induced wibbling post I replied to has now been deleted.

They've sold 50% of the early bird allocation. Nothing to do with how many tickets are given away.

Campsite tickets have gone on sale.

The Official Air Tattoo campsite is now available to book! Under-18s can stay for free with an adult camper and the campsite is located just yards from the Air Tattoo showground. Sounds perfect to us!
Run by Tangerine Fields, there is no minimum night stay, which offers you great flexibility. The campsite is priced on a simple per person, per night basis and you can either bring your own tent or book one of their pre-pitched options.
Make sure you book your Air Tattoo ticket first and then head to the Tangerine Fields website here to book: bit.ly/2J0p6w1

Re: RIAT 2020
When the a-10 demo team came to RIAT in 2011 what support aircraft came with them and stayed on static?

Nothing, AFAIK. A-10s were from Spangdahlem so didn't require support.

Well, it may or may not have been a coincidence, but I’m quite sure I remember an RS-coded C-130J in attendance that year.

Do you think the first flying announcement will be in December or January? All I am hoping for this year is the su-22 as its getting replaced soon!!!

Re: RIAT 2020
RJF will be first. They are the 'regular' to give us all a loo break, year in , year out, special relationship, blah blah blah.
For the love of Michael J. Fox, bring something with an afterburner this year, and no extra300's or whatever with fireworks attached do not make afterburners.

Doubt it will happen, so save your money and go to their home-base in Poland before they stop flying. Swidwin is it?

In you are referring to Heyford Dave's previous post, it doesn't take much to figure out...
RJF = Royal Jordanian Falcons need I say more

I'm guessing he's probably referring to this

OK sure, but taken in context with the rest of the post, it is still pretty straightforward to figure out...
Jordan,
Please don't send any aircraft type to RIAT 2020, such as the extra 300s (flown by the RJF - oh, sorry Royal Jordanian Falcons) or similar type, to which you could attach smoke cannisters or maybe flares, which whilst enjoyable to watch, are nothing like a fast jet with an afterburner
So, please Jordan for one year, whilst we love our continued "special friendship" with you, could you refrain from sending the Royal Jordanian Falcons (as you have done for past 2+ decades, year in and year out....) and return to a time such as the late 1980s, when you also sent along some very nice fast jets (Mirage F.1s ) which were even in the flying display...with AFTERBURNER (I think!?… memory isn't what it was!) please...
I know the Mirage F1s are long gone but some F-16s...one can dream!
How about loading a Super Cobra or R-44 in the back of the Herc (or two), send a PC-21? Something different!
Re: RIAT 2020
If Jordan are going to send anything, The Mi-26 would be most welcome.

Don't forget the AT-802s....because every airshow needs a crop-sprayer.
