A400 colchester

Post by baggy »

Currently doing circuits over the barracks. Has been for quite a while. Nice and low. What a treat

A400M Atlas ZM407 is in the area, not sure about a C-17 though.

It was for the flypast over London for the Lord Mayor's show.

She was bashing the circuit at Southend, the first run in over the town was not much more than 1000ft! a couple of approach and go-arounds

100% A400. Identified by 3 other friends in different locations over Colchester and a Herc for good measure

Really? There were no C-130s or C-17s flying anywhere near Colchester at the time, A400Ms and C-17s are often mistaken for each other - especially from a side-on view at distance due to both having a very similar tail profile.

Nothing like having a Herc for good 'meadure'(?) - that's someone that has noticed the big whirly propeller thingies at the front of each engine!

It was an A400 when it passed Needham Market, visually and orally.

Having watched the flypast over the Lord Mayors parade and tracked its flight path on radar it went over my house in Westcliff at about 1000ft, I saw four big spinning rotating things at the front, there was a US C130 in the area at the same time but that was at about 20,000ft, NO C17's were on radar
