No US or Canadian based USAF/USN/RCAF flying displays in 2020.

Big gap in the provisional 2021 Thunderbirds schedule but that means absolutely nothing. Haven’t seen the Blue Angels 2021 yet.

I won’t mention the massive *ahem* gap in the F-35 demo list though. :tumbleweed:

Does RIAT ever get listed in the schedule release in December anyway? I only ever remember the Thunderbirds confirming for 2017 on their schedule launch. This year the F16 was scheduled elsewhere and ended up at RIAT.

Blue Angels have a gap in 2020 but we all know not to look too much into those things.

July 4-5 - Traverse City, MI
July 11 - Pensacola Beach, FL
July 25-26 - Milwaukee, WI

Same with the F-35 back in 2018, wasn’t announced until Feb/Mar.

Blue Angels 2021 July. Gap for RIAT weekend, but again wouldn't read anything into that.

July 3-4 - Kansas City, MO
July 10 - Pensacola Beach, FL
July 24-25 - Fargo, ND
July 31-August 1 - Eielson AFB, AK

Not unusual for RIAT to be missed out of the initial schedules...

I’d say the F-35 was the most likely candidate, with the gap in the schedule and it being a Farnborough year.

The full solo routine looks rather impressive and it would be good to finally see one put through its paces. The solo passes/zoom climbs the other year when the heritage flight couldn’t perform were excellent.

Snowbirds don't have the range to come to the UK.

If the range of the CT-114 is 944 miles, which apparently it is, then they could get from Narsarsuaq to Reykjavik (770 miles) and then from Reykjavik to Prestwick (842 miles).

Assuming they can fly from somewhere in Canada to Narsarsuaq, then I would say it's a surprise they're not here every year

Well - as they were planning to ship them over for the RAF anniversary show in C-17's to me means they cant fly here.

Or it's just logistically more simple/cheaper....

Good-oh!
Lots of things not coming means there's more time ( and space ) for the really important stuff like clowns, jugglers & mime-artists.

I trust the mime-artists will be on during the lazy lunch segment as is traditional for the quieter acts?

Is there any possibility of getting an electric Beaver in the display?

Polish f-16 demo will apparently visit the UK twice next year. Maybe RIAT and Cosford?

I can't remember, but when did we get the first announcement for 2019?
It was some time in the new year, wasn't it?

Haven't pulled the trigger on tickets yet.
