On Sunday 14th June 2020, the RAF Cosford Air Show will commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day and host “Fighter Meet 2020”. Tickets for this spectacular annual event will go on sale on Friday 22nd November.

The exciting theme of Fighter Meet 2020 will demonstrate the evolution of air defence aircraft over the last century. This will include commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - bringing to life the legendary story with emotive flying displays and interactive ground exhibitions - as well as looking to the future, showcasing the very best of today’s Air Supremacy.

The VE Day theme will focus on displaying historic aircraft from World War II, both in the air and across the iconic Vintage Village on the showground, combining re-enactment groups with a VE Day street party, a Vintage Fayre, classic vehicles & period entertainment.

Air Show Director, Mr Clive Elliott, said,” We are excited to deliver another spectacular Air Show, full of rousing stories from the past and fascinating displays, inspiring the next generation.”

The RAF Cosford Air Show attracts over 50,000 visitors. The Air Show will again be an Advanced Ticket Only event. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 22nd November - available online via the RAF Cosford Air Show website - with an early bird discounted price currently available.

Do they even have a website now? Only one I can find for them only has a front page image of the Drakken and nothing else.

Tickets went on sale today. Went with the Cosford Club again as it was a great experience last time I visited in 2018.

Surprised by the price hike. It was £60 when I visited last year, noticed it was up to £65 this year and for 2020 it was up to £71.50. But I had already decided on it, so paid for it. F35 on the 2020 advertising banner. Hopefully a proper demo at Cosford for 2020.

the New French Air Force 'Rogues Victor' Rafale Tactical demonstration pair would fit nicely with the Fighter Meet 2020 theme!

As would the Patrouille Suisse / Turkish Stars displays teams that all fly fighters

Still wouldn't complain if Cosford managed to get any of Freece Trocolori/ Patrouille de France/ Patrulla Aguila/ ex BJT 'Team Apache'/ Team PC7 !

Wouldn't like it to be the case but, I've got a feeling the clash with the French Open Day at Cognac and the RDAF 60th show at Karup may cause a few issues, particularly for foreign assets.

May as well just copy and paste the entire list from the last few years and make a few safe changes here and there... seems that's how they all do it these days. Terrible.

Cosford has quite a varied line-up each year. 2018 saw the Kiwi 757, French Rafele, Mig 29 and would have had a Dutch KC10 if it didn't go tech, and 2019 saw Czech ALCAs, a P-3C Orion , a Saab Gripen and the Swiss F18. I didn't get to the 2019 show, but there was great difference in the line up between 2018 & 2019.

The only thing really the same each year is UK Military participation (Reds, Typhoon, Tutor, Falcons, BBMF, Chinook) which is true of most UK airshows anyway.

Have we been going to different airshows?

Cosford is very limited as a venue which takes it a rung down from events like RIAT or Yeovilton - but as for the actual participation it is always interesting and varied and seems to show a creativity of thought and consideration that you don't really get at any other airshow these days.

I'm very excited by the 'Fighter Meet' theme... fingers crossed for something really special.

With all the Bucheons, Spitfires and Hurricanes now available we could get a very nice set piece for the 80th.

The Qatari Air Force Aerobatic team 'the wings of Qatar' fly 6 PC21s
They are made up of ex Krila Oluje pilots that left the team a few years ago hence the display is very Krila Oluje - esq.

Anyway they fly an impressive display and could operate from RAF Cosford too!

Great looking display, but does that music come with the display? If so are we going to need glowsticks etc to rave with?

Because I'm ok with that.....

Can anyone confirm please, do you pay the basic entry, then add the Cosford Arena on or is included ?

Have looked at the web site, but its not clear and I don't want to turn up and find I've either underpaid or over paid

You mean the Cosford Club? Cosford Club tickets get you on site, there is no additional ticket needed.

If you mean Cosford Club, then admission is included in the ticket for the Cosford Club. It's well worth it in my opinion. Was there in 2018 and booked it again for 2020.
