They probably realised they should never have abandoned it... There is a big market for this...

There was plenty of discussion about this over on Avsim yesterday, probably still is. I just hope they don't try to resurrect the DLC model they adopted with Flight. Return to the old method of including a good variety with the base package and let third party developers concentrate on extras.

The only reason FSX is still popular today is down to companies like PMDG.

If they can resist the urge to make it "locked down" and if they allow for 3rd party development then it should fly off the shevles

Will this be available only on Xbox? Or will there a PC version released too.

PC first then Xbox. I just hope they adopt the open to devs like FSX and X plane has.

Isn't that the new MS "thing" whereby you can play PC games on XBOX or visa-versa?

This is the Xbox Game Pass which is £7.99 per month. I use it on the Xbox Console and, to be fair, I have gotten quite a lot out of it. Apart from the new Ace Combat, I haven't brought a new game for ages.
If this gets added to it, I'd be delighted.

Reading that article and the MSFS website gives me hope that this could finally be a worthy successor to FSX

No problem running it on a laptop if it meets the spec requirements.

Yes, Microsoft invited a bunch of "content creators" to Seattle to try it, and this really looks to be revolutionary.

What do we make of this? The approach into Southampton at 10:00 is quite remarkable!

The PC specs have been released....

Ideal spec includes an i7 9800, RTX 2080, 32gb of RAM and.... a 50Mbps internet connection!

You don't have to use the online mode though if you have a slow connection or a data usage limit. The photogrammetry scenery is overrated anyway.

I’m certainly going to give it a go.

I’m close to if not exceeding those ideal specs in some regards.

You in the alpha too? I haven't been blown away but it's still obviously at an early stage and seems to be improving with every patch

Yup, and I agree, there are things that I really like, like the weather - but overall I think a lot of people are setting their expectations way too high for this.
