Re: RIAT 2020
glad to see the Patrouille de Suisse back. Getting the harriers in again would be a massive coup
Re: RIAT 2020
Good additions, this new update system is a great improvement, bit of detail is always good and acknowledging info that has been on social media but sayings it not been confirmed helps explain to people why its not yet on the list despite them saying there coming. Keep it up!
As for the Matadors, fingers cross and also no tail art please!

Nice update! I love the new update system too. Looks like Bosnia, Portugal and Bangladesh have declined the invite. Sweden listed as ongoing

Unbelievable, someone has to jump on a fairly benign and hardly unreasonable hope. You can have this Thursdays least entitled RIAT poster award.
If we are lucky enough to see them back this year, I would also like to see them (or one at least) in their work rig.
I don't want to get carried away, but these early announcements, the themes and news of irons in the fire are really making me dream we could be in for a modern classic.

Re: RIAT 2020
Brilliant update today, and I really like that extra bit of transparency in talks with nations not yet confirmed.
Harriers back again in 2020 would be absolutely amazing. Germany always give fantastic support and I wonder what Canada could send.
Vera for the 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain and 75th anniversary of VE Day? One can but dream. (Yes, I am aware VERA is not RCAF )

The Lancaster has nothing to do with the Canadian Forces of course, so is out of scope of this ‘ongoing’ statement. As much as it would be ace to see again one day. Similarly, the Swedish historics wouldn’t be listed under Sweden, rather they’d both be ‘civilian’.
Good stuff from DBH, they’ve got the announcements going nicely.

Would be nice if they could be persuaded to bring a TAV-8B.

A comment on another forum yesterday(?) suggested that there wouldn't be any foreign appearances by the Portuguese due to their budget going on hosting Tiger Meet 20.

Re: RIAT 2020
Really nice update this week. The Hornet 'fly-off' last summer and rightly won by the Finnish incumbent was intriguing. Looking forward to the Swiss offerings - enjoying the venerable F5 for how much longer now?
Really good insight as well into irons in the fire. I too, will be very pleased if the Harriers come back. Keep up the good work DBH.

Now officially qualifies as a 'regular' at Famous Dave's - El Centro

What is the current situation with the F5's, I thought they were meant to have retired a good few years ago?

they do, would love to see them give us a Tonka display of some description this year, even if it was just a few flypasts. that eurofighter paint scheme last year was phenomenal, those there for arrivals and departures had a treat for the eyes.

Douglas Bader House. The head office address of RIAT, and shorthand for 'the organisers'.

Looks like an almost mildly amusing joke to me. ‘You are an F-16/10 this valentines day’ doesn’t quite have the same ring to it...
