Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
I won't quote anyone but it's interesting to look at the beginning of this thread and see how quickly things have moved on.
“The best computer is a man, and it’s the only one that can be mass-produced by unskilled labour.”
Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
As one who answered at the beginning of the thread, I´m not ashamed to admit that I was very, very wrong. Things have indeed moved on faster than anyone could foresee.
I hope all who are affected in any way; be it family, jobs, or in any other form, get through with as little disruption to their lives as possible.

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
Wouldn’t be surprised if 2020 Airshow season is declared a write off due to this
Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
OW not cancelled much yet
Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
OW airshows are much more self-contained, with the ability to use home based assets only. However, aside from the usual reasons for cancellations at the moment, they will still need the road closed. I expect that the council/police will have better things to do somehow.

The World has China to thank for this whole tragic mess!
Not only were they aware of it, but actively denied the existence to other nations despite a leading Chinese physician being silenced by the Chinese Government.
And still they deny any responsibility.

What can one expect with such disgraceful practices allowed to continue.

Enough said.

There should be no blame game at this stage it does nothing but have a negative effect, we need to be working together to survive and beat this.
I care about understanding how it was created so the circumstances can be avoided in future but this could just of easily happened anywhere that there is close proximity between species.

Well done! A refreshingly rational response.boff180 wrote: Too much said.

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
I can't take anyone that uses a Daily Mail article to back up their argument seriously. Let alone someone who thinks a change.org petition will make a country change its practices and it's people's ways of life.

What I don’t understand is why there’s such a panic to buy toilets rolls when so many copies of the Daily Mail are left unsold in newsagents.

Toilet roll panic buying is leading to blocked sewers as people with no loo paper are forced to use alternatives, a water company has warned.
Northumbrian Water said householders were flushing wipes, kitchen roll and newspaper.

Sadly I'm old enough to remember my grandparents small terraced house in Plumstead (that's London for those that don't know) with an outside WC with cut up pieces of newspaper hanging up. Can't remember them ever having problems with blocked drains though.

It wouldn’t surprise me, going on the Government’s and SAGE’s advice about gatherings, potentially for another year, (and the financial battering that this country will endure for years), that we see this most of next years shows cancelled aswell.

Luxury....
Friend in the US has just told us her husbands family were farmers in NC and in the olden days before toilet roll they used corn cobs!!!
They were plentiful and quite efficient at cleaning. Kept in a bag next to toilet. The arrival of printed magazine catalogues was like using velvet!!!
And I used to moan about the IZAL...
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

Hmm, that’s surprising if they were at the bottom of the hill, us Upper Plumstead types had no issues as well
