Academy 1/72 Vought F-8P Crusader

Afternoon all,

Finished one off this morning, completion number nine for the year, the lovely little Crusader from Academy. Finished as an F-8P in the special markings of Flotille 12F French Navy which came with the kit and performed superbly. Hataka PRU Blue was used for the blue which is as close a match as any to my eye. Final coat as usual was W&N Galeria Matt varnish.

Very Very nice. That kit beats my Heller Version I did many years ago. Nice Faded effect too.

I have one of these to do as a USN/MC machine but doubt i could ever make it as good.

Think the colour is spot on as well and would never have considered PRU Blue!

Nice build of a lovely aeroplane. I used RAF PRU blue on a Mirage F-1 I built a few years ago. It is a good match.
