Don't give them ideas!
Re: RAF Flypasts VE Day
This Bank Holiday Friday is cancelled as of 6th May 2020 due to Covid-19 . It will revert to the original Monday just gone. The Government apologises to both people who are not 'essential workers' who went to work on their day-off!
Re: RAF Flypasts VE Day
Let's arrange a time to fly all those Airfix (other manufacturers are available) Spitfires out of upstairs windows - maybe not a fly past but a "fly"down.

Captain Tom got a flypast so there is capacity. Be a morale booster for each major city to get a RAF jet/WW2 flypast?
The Arrows could do it but they fly closer than 2metres I think...

Re: RAF Flypasts VE Day
I wish I was in my second home of Houston this week (I spend about two months a year over there working). They are getting a flyover by the Blue Angels today and a 30 warbird flyover on Friday!!!
2022
RIAT (Mach 2)
Wings over Houston
er, that's about it this year I reckon.

There's supposed to be a Spitfire flypast on Friday here in Worthing over a care home.

The paper famously supported Oswald Mosley's Blackshirts fascist organisation and the paper's owner Lord Rothermore was a fan of Adolf Hitler.

Re: RAF Flypasts VE Day
Lord Rothermere also paid for an aeroplane for his own use but then presented it to the nation when the Air Ministry showed interest in its speed. It evolved into the Blenheim - an undoubted workhorse of the early WWII RAF but also an aircraft that suffered some of the most horrific disasters of RAF history - it cannot be a coincidence that Rothermere named his original, Britain First.Spiny Norman wrote: ↑Thu 07 May 2020, 5:41 pmNo.MiG_Eater wrote: ↑Thu 07 May 2020, 4:53 pmIts funny because Daily Mail readers are Nazis... Twitter immediately full of comments about how many nurses that would that have paid for, polution, no one there to see it, etc etc. Makes you sick.

Looks like the RAF do read UKAR. Nice to see a couple of Typhoons over Edinburgh earlier.Spiny Norman wrote: ↑Wed 06 May 2020, 11:42 amCaptain Tom got a flypast so there is capacity. Be a morale booster for each major city to get a RAF jet/WW2 flypast?

Two-seat Spitfire IX SM520 straight over the house on its way to Bracknell, what a joy to hear and see.
Re: RAF Flypasts VE Day
Just saw it from a distance here in Lancing looked like it did a circuit at Shoreham Airport.
