Redshift - from the album Ether: the track "Bombers in the Dessert" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTJcfEDywVA with an appropriate aviation video. I think the track is inspired by cold war bombers in the Boneyard.

Edgar Froese "Macula Transfer" - all the tracks were composed on flights and titled with the number of flight he was on.

Maybe add 'Ride of the Valkyries' by Richard Wagner. Not at all sure the XB-70A was around in those days?

No one's mentioned,
Five Miles Out by Mike Oldfield
I read somewhere that it was originally about Amelia Earhart's fateful journey in her Lockheed Electra hence the artwork to the record sleeve. But an alternative story appears on Wikipedia that he had a near fatal airplane flight.

Other suggestions;
Gary Numan - Airlane
Gary Numan - Bombers
OMD - Enola Gay

Just remembered...
Thomas Dolby - Flying North

Metal bird dip wing of fire
Whose airlanes comb dark Earth
The poles are tethers we were born in
On the brink of a whole new deal
On the floor of a hotel bar
I'm staring right into the light
And I'm drawn in like a moth
And I'm flying North again...
Here come the men in suits
Papers waving in the runway glare
Lincoln steaming in the chilly air of the morning
At the end of a double day
At the back of an airport lounge
I'm staring down into the cold
And I'm worn out like a cloth
And I'm flying North again tonight.
Down with the landing gear
Up goes the useless prayer
The poles are tethers we were born in
Now I'm back in the London night
On a bench in a launderette
I'm staring right into my face
And I'm drawn out like a plot
And I'm flying North again tonight.

Johnny Come Lately by Steve Earle mentions the Thunderbolt:

'My P-47 is a pretty good ship
And she took a round comin' cross the channel last trip
I was thinkin' 'bout my baby and letting her rip
Always got me through so far'

From The Cult
Off the Electric album

The 2nd track Peace Dog has in its chorus
“B 5 2 baby way up in the sky
Drop your love on me tonight.

In the demo version the 52 was pronounced as fifty-two. But by the time the album came out it had been skimmed to ‘five two’ to trip off the tongue a little easier.
