Arrived at Newquay Airport this week.
Currently dismantled outside HAS2 next to CAHC (but nothing to do with CAHC).

Well that's a surprise. Fingers crossed for a more healthy outlook for her.

Yes, its the Long Marston one.
I feel a little better today, knowing it made it out of there without being scrapped - as I was told it would some years ago.

Good news it’s been saved, I dread to think of the work & funds needed to put her into a presentable state

im suprised.
The skin on the aircraft is wafer in in places. thin enough that you could blow on it and make a hole
ill be intrested to see how much of it they can save.

Not seen 985 for a number of years, but from these it looks like a lot of hard work and money will be required to get it anything like.Cole wrote: ↑Sat 26 Sep 2020, 1:50 pmSome photos from december 2019

It too is in a sorry state, most of the wing and skin of the aircraft was in a skip. The horizontal stab was sitting in the building next to it, looking somewhat like swiss cheese.

Re: Shackleton MR3 WR985
From this interesting album over on Flickr, you can see that the Meteor (WL332 by the way), had been moved back in August, although it's current whereabouts are unknown judging by the rapid destruction taking place on the site judging by some of the photos...
