Hope this wasn't the big aircraft announcement!
Not entirely unexpected but disappointing all the same.

Glad to see both Rich and Ruch are going to be there, makes up for the Gripen in my books.
Yup.. Looking at Midlands air festival, besides the millitary participation is looking a much much fuller show and has some real gems that dont get seen that often these days
The Whirlwind used to be semi regular to cosford. Fingers crossed for the Whole fleet..Just Kidding (Not really )
Thanks a lot! I think I'll just head down on the Saturday again thenLuke28 wrote: ↑Sat 14 May 2022, 6:01 amHi mate,
In 2019 the Saturday was the better of the days, Swiss F-18, German P-3, Czech L-159's, Baby Blue all practiced/validated. The Czech Gripen was due to aswell but had an issue. The Friday if I remember was very quiet.
Although that was a change from the previous years as usually the Friday is busier. If you can do both days then that gives you the best chance
Edit.... Actually looking back through my 2018 pictures, it looks like Saturday had the majority of the Practise displays then too, Polish Mig-29, Rafale, New Zealand 757, Belgian F-16.
Where's that come from ?cobmauler wrote: ↑Mon 16 May 2022, 2:03 pmSouthport have got the south Korean display team. Is there a case for moving cosford a bit nearer to RIAT to enable visiting overseas teams/acts to attend cosford as well.
Why is it still held in June? There aren't as many large shows around these days to get in the way of the only official RAF show.
Thoughts please.
Thoughts are that it’s a bit of a silly suggestion.cobmauler wrote: ↑Mon 16 May 2022, 2:03 pmSouthport have got the south Korean display team. Is there a case for moving cosford a bit nearer to RIAT to enable visiting overseas teams/acts to attend cosford as well.

“Announcements have been slower this year for reasons that we won't bore you with. There is a lot more coming and the pace of announcements is going to increase over the coming days and weeks.”
I promise that we are all working hard to make this another spectacular air show.
