Apparently the steering control on one of The Blades broke. Landed safely.bedfordshirevulcan wrote: ↑Sun 19 Jun 2022, 4:15 pmWhat's happened with a blade as well this afternoon aaib will be busy

No mention of it being a passenger jet? They are slipping...
Another spectator said: “I saw it take off and fly around a bit before the crash.
“I think it nose-dived or the front wheel failed on landing.”
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

The 1930s de Havilland Dragon Rapide was actually built in 1943.

You weren't expecting anything factually correct were you?

Shame about the Rapide; must have been quite harrowing sitting staring at the ground for quite some time! Glad all ok.
Not the best weekend for UK displays-the Typhoon had to cancel his show in Finland yesterday due to a fault after take off.

There's a video of the landing on TikTok that's been posted on the Duxford Air Show Facebook group. One of the comments is that a tyre burst on landing, hence the very rapid deceleration and tipping over. Must've been pretty scary in the aircraft to be looking at grass out of the cockpit windows as you slide along!

Must have been very scary to be hanging in your straps looking at the ground through the cockpit windows in front of you! My total sympathy for people not expecting or desiring drama.5944 wrote: ↑Wed 22 Jun 2022, 8:15 pmThere's a video of the landing on TikTok that's been posted on the Duxford Air Show Facebook group. So you immediately speculate in the same post!!!
It's unfortunate and I hope the damage is minimal

I'm sure you post was well intended but you just got a bit over enthusiastic - sorry but it did amuse me a bit!
The official report will be interesting when it appears
