*to CJS -

Again, as per my post before - you’re asking to prove a negative.

How do you know that JASDF Eagles are definitely not coming? Or a Latvian Hip, or an Ecuadorean Cheetah, or almost any participant from a nation either invited or ongoing that hasn’t officially declined? And if that’s the same standard you apply to the Tejas, then let’s all start getting excited about Italian Navy AV-8s and Kazakh Flankers!

And tbf, even if there was “proof” it might be private or confidential.

It’s the person who posts an assertion about something that has to back it up.

Anyway, apologies, I know it’s all fun, and either one will turn up or one won’t, so I don’t want to make much of a thing of it, but don’t let the mere desire to see something cloud one’s logic.
I see your point, but on this occasion I don't think I am - I'm asking him to prove a positive really: he's positive they are not coming. I'm pretty sure I have read it correctly and his wording was such that he's definite (ie positive, an assertion etc...) that they're not.

Anyhoo, as boff points out:

So question answered :-)

But as you say Tommy, it's all good fun.

i have a question for the wider hive mind. obviously on thursday i will have access to the grandstand.

if i ignore the fact they want us to sign up for next years show on thursday, would i be best to head to one of the park and view sites for the arrivals?

It all depends on whether you're a watcher, a cruncher, a togger, a relaxer, a judge, a loner, a hermit, a chatter or anything else.

What are you looking for personally from the day?

I don’t tend to bother, and just do P&V, but others prefer the grandstand.

As Caper says, depends what you want out of it.

Just been reading about the E-4 and it seems that there were 3 E-4a built and just the one E-4b. The airshow website suggests are going to be seeing the E-4b, so is it still correct that it's the only b version that was ever developed?

I imagine to a non-expert (like me) they don't look any different but still cool to think it's a one-off.

Yes, please read the whole story, then answer the questions, not just half the book.

Used to fly a T-53 but it was made in Yorkshire. Horrible thing.

I had no idea that T-53's based on the SR20 were made in Yorkshire. I've flown T-67's made at the Slingsby factory at Kirkbymoorside.

I mean, for all the comments about asking for Flightech to prove his reasons for thinking they are, I wonder if you'd like to confirm how you know they're definitely not.

(This is the point when Pete pops up and says "actually, surprise" haha)
Well I'd assume you've signed some for of NDA so even confirming something isn't coming is surely a breach of that, so anything you say needs to be taken with a pinch of salt - clearly that's why you've stayed quiet about the Kazakh Flankers.
