If you are arguing that Covid has not killed Millions and affected Billions I shall say no more.

Maybe the Russians are happy to restrict their borders rather than cancel the airshow.

Still reeks of entitlement.

Evening all,
So for the first time since 2003 I will be missing the MAKS Airshow and my week long stay in Moscow. To say I’m a tad disappointed is an understatement but in the bigger picture ,missing an Airshow is nothing compared to the things some are missing from their lives due to the pandemic.
Is anyone from this forum on their way to MAKS 2021 ?

Evening all,
Just had this from the FCO......

Russia travel advice

Change made:
The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to Russia, based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks. (‘Summary’ page)

Time updated:

I hope that anyone going to MAKS has a great time, but goes without saying, stay safe.

No decisions to toughen measures for non-vaccinated individuals in Russia, says Kremlin
The Kremlin spokesman recalled that heads of Russian regions enjoyed special authority to take anti-coronavirus measures depending on the current situation in their regions
...
When asked whether Russia’s federal authorities are looking at possible toughening quarantine measures for those non-inoculated, like it was done in France, he said, "No decisions on this matter have been taken so far, but elements of such solutions are already being implemented at the regional level."

My fried in Omsk whom I was planning to meet at MAKS this year again will not travel to Moscow due to these regional restrictions. So it makes two of us not going for the same reason.

Looks like the Russians will be unveiling something nice at MAKS. I only hope I get to see it some day.
