Some strange stuff fell from the sky today...
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

Duxford Wednesday 17th August:
This morning, Victor XH648 was re-united with her vertical tail (removed in October 2016):
Meanwhile, the Blades Extra 300 (which was damaged at the June Airshow) had the tailplane removed for repair:
Also losing parts is the TFC Fiat CR42, with wings removed to allow airframe access for the engineers:
Miss Pick Up and the Suffolk Spitfire were flying today:

The Victor is looking great!. Would be great to see XF708 restored to her former glory.

That PC-6 is lovely - you do seem to get some good (if somewhat sporadic) French visitors after last month's Twin Otter.

Duxford Tuesday 30th August:
TFC's Spitfire V EP120 had some exercise this afternoon, the 'new' wingtips giving a different look:
The BBMF Chipmunk WG486 has been with ARC since April 27th and had an airtest before departing to Coningsby:
Harvard FE695 (GBTXI) was training and Gamebird GB1 N485GC was flying:

Snaps from my sprint around the south side during lunch - Spitfires in abundance...
A "109" as the filling in a Spitfire sandwich - a case of the "Hun" in the bun?
