Large number of aircraft in (loose) formation

Post by aj_1980 »

Hi last night (3rd November) about 18:30, I noticed at least 12 aircraft traveling in line abreast about half a mile spacing heading north over Wymondham in Norfolk. They must have been high as didn't hear anything. Nothing on flight radar. Assuming it was a military deployment. Can anyone confirm? Was really impressive (even if pitch black)!

Indeed, 18 Starlink satellites.

Check here for future possible viewings.

Should be 8 visible tonight, and 21 on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Starlink - 5000+ up there so far, 12,000 planned, 42,000 talked of as a future target.

For anyone (like me) who does long-exposure photography at night they are a real pain!
