Scale Model World 2023

Post by DerekF »

A few photos from this year's Telford show. They're all from the competition tables. Some great work on display.

There are some great models there (I like the Fiat G91 best of the aircraft) but that last one of the modeller in his den is off the chart!

It's a great model, but I fear it's not that accurate, I mean where's the huge pile of ubuilt kits?🤣

In the loft I expect!

My wife kindly makes me tea on demand (and I am sadly bad at reciprocating, though I do occasionally remember), so I must be doing something right.

She’s obviously a covert modeller, bringing two cups to the room - or she intends to do some trepanning using the tools on the wheeled tea tray.

However, the modeller missed a key element of modern weathering techniques - the tannin stains in the cups are not overdone.

What got Best in Show by the way?
