Victor 30th Anniversary engine run 25th November 2023

Next week Handley Page Victor XL 231 Lusty Lindy. Will celebrate being at the Yorkshire Air museum for 30 years. To celebrate this 2 events will take place. On Saturday the 25th, the 30th Anniversary of her arrival, the team will be doing a full 4 engine static run, featuring a functional demonstration of her Air brakes etc. This is a normal admission day entrance fee. There will also be a small exhibition of things Victor in the Halifax suite. So if your craving a bit of jet noise, Elvington is the place to be!

Does the Victor ever do fast taxi runs?

It did in the past, however the museum currently have no access to the runway at Elvington as its owned by a third party. Also I understand that work would need to be done on the undercarriage before it could taxi again.

Not quite true purple. currently the access is not there due to the peritrack requiring some work, The airfield is owned separately to the museum and yes we need to do some work on a leg. But encouraging noises have been made suggesting running could be available in the near future. Trust me I will inform everyone when it happens.
