The John Lewis Christmas ad;
apart from being really stupid and well below their usual standard they are selling all sorts of expensive Venus flytrap related tat which will all get bought then forgotten about after the New Year.
on the other hand the Tesco one whilst even more stupid has something I can relate to; the grown up son trying to stay out of all of it (my 30 year old son was born on Boxing Day) but ultimately failing.

This is right up my street !
As soon as I saw the Asda ad with Mickey Bubble,on the 1st November, I went into BAH HUMBUG mode. Gets earlier every year. Have also warned them at work that as soon as the radio stations start playing Christmas songs,the plug is going to mysteriously vanish. Don't care what anyone thinks !

They started playing Christmas songs yesterday, [20-11], here in The Netherlands.

They've been on Digital radio (Heart X-Mas) since the beginning of October.
Anyone seen the amount of Grinch merchandise available? Everything from a 6 foot inflatable (indoor & outdoor use) through to an advent calendar. Even clothing.
