The final set of photos from NELSAM are now live at aviationanoraks.co.uk
These take a look at the two aircraft that form their Falklands War exhibition, Sea Harrier ZD582 and Pucara A-522, the latter still wearing the paint it carried during the conflict.

This weeks set of photos at aviationanoraks.co.uk are from the small but very interesting Armstrong & Aviation Museum within Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.
A number of locally recovered artefacts are on display, including probably the largest surviving sections of a Vickers Warwick.

We go ‘North of the Border’ for the first time this week at aviationanoraks.co.uk with the first set of photos from our June visit to the National Museum Of Flight at East Fortune.
Lots more over the coming weeks from this outstanding museum, we start with the Concorde hangar.

Our second set of photos from the National Museum of Flight takes a look at the aircraft that greets visitors as they enter the Civilian Aircraft hangar, 1959 built Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer Series 3 G-BBVF. Beautifully conserved as it left service, this is one of the many gems at East Fortune.

More from East Fortune this week at aviationanoraks.co.uk with photos of the other civilian aircraft that can be seen in the museum.
One of the most extensive collections of civil types in the UK, with some unique types preserved such as the GAL Cygnet and the Miles M.18

The last set of photos from the civilian aircraft hangar at East Fortune are up now at aviationanoraks.co.uk and are detail shots of the sole surviving Miles M.18
The type never entered production as a trainer, but this particular airframe did have a successful post-war racing career.

It was good to see so much space dedicated to historic civilian aircraft, something that does seem to get overlooked at a lot of museums.

We continue the East Fortune theme at aviationanoraks.co.uk this week with photos taken in the conservation hangar during one of the talks that are held almost every day.
Interesting and informative, and good to see a number of airframes kept under cover until there is space to display them.

Following on from last week’s conservation hangar photos, aviationanoraks.co.uk this week looks at one of East Fortunes more recent restorations, Bristol Bolingbroke IVT RCAF 9940, which is on display in the Warplane hangar.

Our final set from the outstanding National Museum Of Flight at East Fortune is up at www.aviationanoraks.co.uk and covers the military aircraft on display.
We have only looked at the aircraft over the last few weeks but there is so much more to see, with displays dedicated to the history of the airfield, wartime operations, and more.
Well worth a visit if you can, we will certainly go again if we get the chance.

We managed to pick the worst weather day for our trip to this year’s RIAT - the Friday.
Still, a very enjoyable, if different(!) day walking the static and stalls in the rain.
Glad we had still got old cameras stored away, as they came back out to play that day!
Our photos start with some of the Italian Air Force 100th anniversary participants, and the full set can be seen on our website this week.

Photos from a pleasant couple of hours spent at the small but delightful Eshott airfield in Northumberland on a sunny Saturday in June are this week's subject.
A great cafe overlooking the runway, well worth a stop off if you are travelling along the neighbouring A1.

Part 1 of our visit to Solway Aviation Museum is now live at aviationanoraks.co.uk and is a study of their recently acquired Jaguar T4, XX146.
At the time of our visit it was located at the edge of the car park, but has since been moved into its permanent location.

Our set of photos for over Christmas continue with more from Solway Aviation Museum, and take a look around the other exhibits on display.
This was only our second ever visit to Solway, but quite a bit had changed since the last time.
Well worth a visit if you are anywhere close by.

We continue our look around Solway Aviation Museum this week.
One of the few ex-RAF Phantoms in preservation is XV406 at Solway Aviation Museum, which used to be the gate guard at RAF Carlisle.
Not only is it good to see a British-spec Phantom preserved, this one is currently in the earlier camouflage from the 1970’s.

Our last set of photos from Solway Aviation Museum have now been added to aviationanoraks.co.uk and feature one of their more recent acquisitions, in the shape of Fairey Gannet ECM6 ZA459.
Previously unloved and almost derelict at White Waltham, Solway has done a fantastic job of preserving the aircraft and repainting it in its former colours.

Thanks to a server migration that didn’t go as planned, aviationanoraks.co.uk is not looking in the best of health.
We have managed to set up a temporary site to allow us to still upload photos while work is ongoing to try and resolve the issues.

Our next set from Duxford is from the misty and atmospheric flight line walk on the Saturday morning of the 2023 Battle Of Britain airshow.

We are still trying to resolve the website problems, but have uploaded our photos from the 2023 Duxford Battle of Britain airshow flying display.
The photos will also appear daily on our new instagram page.
