Just for the record, Bob's photo shows MS.505 G-BIRW, once resident at Duxford with Graham Warner. It arrived today by road after 41 years on static display at the Royal Scottish Museum, East Fortune.

It was in the conservation hangar at East Fortune back in June and the guide said it was moving on, to be restored to airworthy condition so he believed.
Looks like that may be on the cards then.

I take it its the remains of spitfire AA810 not the airframe being restored?

The Criquet fuselage is presently visible in Building 66 (Blenheim Palace). Nothing known yet about its future.

It was offered on the Museums Association website for transfer to another accredited Museum. Several put in bids, all were rejected and it was sold .

Duxford Monday 27th November:

Typhoon DA4 ZH590 was outside today, as work started on dismantling and loading for its departure.
At Duxford since April 2009, the work could take a day or two.

Is there any estimated completion date for the Shack, seems like they are taking their time with it unlike the Victor.

Today at Duxford, Yak-52 G-CBRW and Spitfire IXT PV202 were flying, Harvard EX289/111836 was visiting, flying some circuits. Spitfire PRXI PL983 ran its engine, whilst P-51D Marinell moved from the ARCo Stephenson Hangar to Hangar 3.

DH9 E8894 was oustside briefly, along with the HAC Fury and the Suffolk Spitfire to allow the Polish Hurricane out of Hangar 3 to head to the ARCo compound.
