I really wouldn't worry JMC. I mean the Saudi Air Force had a huge attendance on the ground last year and I only saw positivity. I think Israel is a bit less controversial as a nation?

Is that sarcasm?

There was the issue with the potential Argentine B737 which then cancelled, I am also surprised to see Israel on the list with the obvious current events.

They also under the theme section said that they will have current and old Canadian aircraft in the static park. Anyone know of any rare gems over here in Europe that could come ?

Yes, the only other Lancaster that is airworthy. Visited UK in 2014. I doubt she would come all this way just for static though

A fine early announcement there - as a sucker for legacy and Super Hornets, this is sure to be a fine looker in the Fairford skies next summer. Please bring plenty of merch! Have a good weekend y'all.
Now officially qualifies as a 'regular' at Famous Dave's - El Centro

According to the Canadian warplane heritage museum twitter page the Lancaster is at Cold Lake airshow RIAT weekend anyway, so an already slim chance gets even smaller!
C+C always appreciated!
Many thanks,

Just curious have the usaf ever sent an f22 over for static to riat or any other European shows when the display team wasn't featured (I'm just wondering if a raptor on static is a potential option)

I’m sure recently they sent a couple on static to a Polish show when they were deployed there. I could’ve made that up however but my brain thinks it happened!

Never been officially on static at RIAT but the display jets were positioned nicely in 2016/2017 up the Eastern End, close enough to get decent photo's and you were up close and personal with the start up and taxi out.

Theres probably more examples but the only one of the top of my head of them being on static display in Europe was the Elmendorf based ones in 2022 at SIAF in Slovakia. I suppose the only chance of it happening is if they are over this way on a TDY during RIAT week.

I'm hearing in my group chat that people are still having issues adding enclosures after buying a general entry ticket, multiple emails and calls to RIAT have gone unanswered

I'm still having trouble renewing FRIAT membership, so not surprised. It should be so simple, i've only been with FRIAT since 1991!

I couldn’t do it, had to ring up and sort over phone and even then they had problems!

I know we sometimes get an early announcement, but a 2027 announcement today lol
Earlier this year the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) announced they were going into partnership with the Bedfordshire based business, with Airlander 10 set to debut at the event in the summer of 2027.

Are they going to start selling the early bird ticket allocations for RIAT 2027 based on the first possible participant announced - Airlander. 😂

Just tether it in the middle of the crowd line and have the area under it as an umbrella for the rain/ parasol for the burning sun [delete as appropriate, both may be needed!].

You take pictures of the runway? Have you not seen the pointy things or proppy things whizzing around, far more interesting.

Isnt the big bottom in the sky noted as possible for 2027?

3 hopes and 1 of them is Bob, the other Maurice and the last is No.

Damn thing is huge. i remember seeing it over Cardington one early evening...... from...... March in the Fens!

With gloucestershire 'breezes' i doubt we will ever see it.

On the 12 days of Christmas RIAT gave to me....

12 prop display teams
11 gaps in programs
10 aircraft updates
9 fairford eyes
8 gripen displays
7 private chalets
6 techno zones
5 MOANS ABOUT NOT HAVING A USAF SOLO DISPLAY
4 hercs on static
3 service stations
2 annoying spotters yelling ROLLING
and the worlds greatest military airshow!

Merry Christmas to the UKAR RIAT family! See you all at New Year's!

Next Christmas it’ll likely be ‘8 F16 displays!’ 🙂
