Deff train, it is crowded but you are right off the train and a quick walk to the entrence and you're in. No queues for traffic etc

I've been using the train every year since 2018 (Covid aside) and never had an issue. On the way out it beats having to wait in traffic. I've always been right out of Cosford and onto a train within 10 minutes.

What wonderful news! Thanks for your feedback Jason, it's game-changing to avoid renting a car!

Hello everyone, first time at Cosford for me this year after years of RIAT. I'll be staying on Wolverhamptonn and saw there was a train every hours to/from Cosford which can be handy.
What would you recommend between car and train?
I don't know if getting in and out of the parking lots is as bumpy as it can be elsewhere, in which case the train might be interesting... if you don't have to go through it because it's too crowded.
I'm a bit lost 😅
Thanks for your help!
I've used the train every time I've visited the show and honestly can't fault it. The last two shows I've been back in Telford within 30ish minutes of leaving the show.

I’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to do both before and 100% take the train. I was staying in a nearby village and was stuck in traffic attempting to enter the airshow for hours and I nearly missed the start of the flying display. When I took the train it was a get on and walk straight in with absolutely no issues. If you have the option to take the train, take it.

Hello,

Even living in nearby Wolverhampton, 100% Train every time!

As people have said, yes, its crowded but so much easier to get in and out plus quite cheap for a return (dependent of where you are coming from of course)

Yeah I agree with train. Driving is fine getting in if you arrive early enough but its a pain getting out.

B-52's due into Fairford next week so hopefully Cosford can benefit from the timing, as in 2016/2017.

Last few Friday announcements have been very good indeed. Will the trend continue today I wonder…

If, the Navywings' flying program is to be believed, it should be the Wasp flying from their fleet at the show, rather than the Swordfish or Reliant (which are due to be at Lee-on-Solent that weekend).

The wasp would be a great addition, I rather enjoyed it last year as it was my first time seeing one fly. So seeing it again would be cool, and looking at the Navy Wings website, it is listed. The other two my guess is the Black Cats and hoping for an NH90, however, A Wessex or Seaking would be awesome.

Having been slightly concerned a few weeks ago that this show was going to be spaced out day the announcements have really picked up another at 8pm. So far a pretty decent lineup!

Never seen the Blackcats before, so great to see if confirmed.

Wasp and Swordfish are excellent historical additions too. I had serious concerns about the line up a few weeks ago and wasn't going to go, but they have really stepped up

Another rumour is an Atlas A400 international display, so would that take off and land at Cosford or operate elsewhere?

Since there's an RAF A400 booked for the static, operating out of Cosford is clearly a possibility, but there may be all sorts of logistical reasons why it might not. As it's only a rumour, probably not worth speculating at this stage...?
And as the smart ship grew,
In stature, grace and hue,
In shadowy silent distance grew the iceberg too....

I've just checked. For me, 2 adults is £215 return (from Lincolnshire) and takes nearly 5 hours!

Think I'll be using the motorcycle ;)
