Some quite hairy footage, particularly the second ejection. Glad that both pilots are (reportedly) ok.
A sad update:

The pilots were attempting a triple barrel-roll close to the runway but their manoeuvre went wrong when they hit and bounced off the ground

Well at the least the Mail didn't go over the top with every conceivable incorrect cliche available to them to sensationalise the tragedy.

Irish CN-235 has been retired and to be apparently preserved in Airbus Military’s museum.

Sad to see, the Irish Air Corps with the CASA have been amazing support for airshows in my home town and 252 was actually the first plane to ever display at our Newcastle show. (Irish Coast Guard S61 was the first aircraft to display)

Ireland wide the CASA has been to many shows.

Apologies Mike, as Jason has said, reference has been made to Airbus’ museum in Seville as one of the highest hour 235s (I didn’t even know they had a museum in the first place). I’m sure a proper Airbus press release will be along shortly if not already.

Thanks for that Jason and Tommy. Likewise, I wasn’t aware they had a museum at Seville.

And Jason, don’t be too sad at their retirement as they have a shiny new pair of C-295s to replace them.

Always interesting to see the size difference between the Japanese C-2 and the C-1. The latter likely gone inside the next 12/18 months according to some Japanese posters on Twitter.

I've yet to see the 295s. They have been up this way a few times on training flights but seem to miss me by about 25 miles or so coming in to Aldergrove.

Hopefully Portrush will have the 295 this year, or even static at RIAT.

One attended the nightshoot at Northolt in March. It looked great under the lights.

That's a looker for sure!

Glad it's not down for RIAT as we wouldn't see that airframe over here anyway as they use a jet from Spang!
