Dear UKAR,
UK Airshow Review are looking for guest contributors to review airshows in the U.K. that we don’t normally get the chance to experience for ourselves. In particular smaller shows that don't attract national audiences (eg: not Cosford, Sywell, RIAT.etc).
We understand that written work can be daunting, but we all start somewhere! The experienced editorial team will be able to talk you through the process, they will review and red biro your work prior to publication, and will also offer tips/tricks on the UKAR “style”.
You will also need to be able to supply 30-40 good images to support the review. We aren’t looking for Jamie Hunter levels of quality, but it must be sufficient to meet UKAR’s standard.
We cannot offer payment and we would not sponsor media access to a UK airshow, but the published review shall be yours, in your name, independently published on our website.
We know that UKAR Reviews are read by those in the airshow industry and we find it a rewarding process. We’re also keen to hear any other ideas you may have; a “Talking Point” piece? A photography competition? Let us know!
If you are interested and would like to become a published aviation photographer and writer for UKAR, please email us at editor@airshows.co.uk with the airshow you would like to review, some brief details about your background and a few examples of your photography.
Yours,
The UKAR Staff Team
