I was prepared for the absence of the mightily impressive Aeronavale contribution of the Hawkeye & Rafales flypast & role demo's, but where's the Zephyr, Magister & BR.1150 Alize? Where's the F-86 Sabre, Me-262 Rep' & the FAF Rafale Demo'?
There's normally a 'biggie' role-demo' from an Atlantique or Transall in the past, a Luftwaffe C-130 more recently, so maybe a FAF A400 this year. Don't see a Skyraider either or the British Warbird contingent? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Hopefully that flying programme is going to be enhanced over the next 6 weeks with some nice additions? PdF have self-confirmed for both days, but that's not of primary interest for me. :grimacing:

Will Team Raven have pyro's in their show? If so, how many of the aircraft can we expect to see burning?

These are just Your guesses, or their absence has been announced and I'm missed it out?

Where's [...] FAF Rafale Demo'?
Simply not added yet?

I'm still hesitating whether to go this year, as the program isn't exciting at the moment.

The French Navy (Aeronavale) has stated officially it will NOT be supporting any domestic or overseas Airshows this 2024 Year. They are not even attending the NTM24 at Schleswig Jagel in June. :open_mouth:
Their displays have been a significant & very welcome participation at La-Ferte-Alais & they were magnificent at Melun-Villaroche Air Legend last September! :sunglasses:

An E-2 Hawkeye flying-display in Europe is a superb treat & remains rare, even in the USA.

+ Swiss F/A-18 Hornet

If they manage to organize MS.406 like last year, there will be a chance for nice heritage formation.

As we approach 6 weeks until the 2024 edition, I can't seem to find a current 'Flying List' for the show? I need to see some serious additional content added before committing to travel for this show.
The listing most easily found is way too lightweight to be attractive to me! :disappointed:

After a couple of weeks self confirmation, the Swiss Air Force F18 has found its way on the la Ferte Alais website and the Rafale C also displaying.

Personally, after going to this show over the years and particularly the excellent 2023 event, my heart is not quite in to going to the 2024 one as yet.

Okay! As stated by SEMAE above "and particularly the excellent 2023 event, my heart is not quite in to going to the 2024 one as yet."

I concur & have decided to abandon this year's offering! With better content available elsewhere (Beja & Sywell?) & the new demo' schemed Rafale to be seen at Duxford,
(maybe Cosford) Sanicole & Istres. I need to allocate funding where the 'need' is greatest. I'm seeing very little different substance in this lesser iteration of the L-F-A 2023 show? :frowning2:

Well I have finally decided to give La Ferte Alais a miss this year. Already decided Sanicole for the first time and Istres should be good. I have spotter ticket for Zeltweg. Got weekend ticket for Old Warden Dak visit and Duxford Summer Saturday airshow and Old Warden for the Sunday and ticket for Sywell and RIAT. I have some doubts about Melun this year. If you decide to go to Cosford, tickets sales have been slower than last year, maybe due to price increase but perhaps not enough people being impressed by the 2023 offering. However with the recent updates particularly with the French, I will not be surprised if it is sold out shortly. I have my ticket. Just hope for not bad weather on the day.

Naturally with my cunning plan of attending the 'local' Abingdon Show on the 18th May being scuppered by the unbelievable incompetence of the non-communicating MOD Land Agencies (aka Wasters!) It would appear I now have an aviation free weekend.

Cosford is :poop: as a location for an Airshow on so many levels. The late flurry of French additions can never detract from that!
As is now the case, I'm more happy to be in Germany over that weekend even without Aalborg, than to attend Cosford with all its shortcomings.

Hopefully L-F-A can re-group for next year, but I'm genuinely fearful that this is just another example of where the general airshow scene is headed? :frowning2:

Hello, if anyone with scanner could post the frequencies for RSD and the Patrouille de France, I would be very grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed today, my first La Ferté Alais. I'm aware this year's line up wasn't quite up there with previous years but to someone who had never been before, I am very glad I went. Highlights for me were seeing the Flamant in the air, the Caudron, the Sea Fury and the Ju 52. Plus a surprise appearance of an Armee De L'Air Super Puma dropping off the Patrouille de France pilots right at the end of the day.

Getting out was a little tricky, I suspect this was due mostly to the storm in the distance that cut the flying short, and the exodus that it provoked, but once out of the car park traffic was flowing nicely. All in all I would certainly do the show again some time!

Seeing footage of the F-18 display, it looked the absolute business!

However I have one question, did he mess up his third pass? It looks like he goes in for a manoeuvre then seems to do a last minute wheels out and wing rock (or he meant to do that and seemed to only remember last minute) 🤔

Apologies, thought most in this thread would’ve attended.

Watching it back again, maybe not. Just seemed an out of place move!
