I wonder if the Germans will use their new tiger jet for the solo display?
When is the tiger meet, obviously that would affect whether the special scheme would come!
Starts Monday the 3rd of June

With the French navy rafale pair doing Athens this week, could there be a RIAT date somewhere. Never got to see them! Afaia they didn’t do international shows last year.

It’s one hell of a display so I really do hope. As I said with last years show, we need a two ship tactical fast jet display then I think the lineup is top notch. (Along with all the self confirms)

With Farnborough providing one RIAT participant (TBC), could there be any other dividends? Perhaps a Lockheed Martin demo using a LH jet?

I don’t think Lockheed Martin do their own demo of aircrsft. But in terms of it being a farnborough year there could be some other stuff. Turkish Atak maybe. Was the Kiwi 757 planned to come over in 2022 because of farnborough or just to for riat? As I keep saying that’ll be great to see!

I don't think New Zealand would send a B757 to Farnborough unless they're wanting a quick sale ready for their retirement.

US Navy still ongoing. A Superbug to stand alongside the Corsair would be nice. Even better if it's a CAG.

Anyone know if there's a carrier close around the time of RIAT?

If the BBMF have cancelled display flying this year, it’d be quite nice to see the Lanc on static display for once. Maybe parked next to Sally-B?

Of course I can understand if they don’t appear at all.

If the whole Battle of Britain memorial flight have been grounded which some news articles suggest then how would the Lancaster be moved to and from the air tattoo?

I meant if displays had been cancelled, but the Lanc had been given permission to fly again (because the incident wasn’t involving said aircraft).

I don’t think you quite grasp the concept of ‘grounded’

Christ almighty, of course I know what grounding is.

I shall explain again. If the Lanc, by July is airworthy, it’ll be nice to have on static, as I don’t believe the BBMF would be going straight back in to displays would they?

There’s a difference between no longer being grounded and doing displays. If they were permitted to fly but not display, I agree the lanc on static would be great. After they pause has been lifted I doubt display flying will start immediately. A flypast on arrival for static would be nice if they are able to fly but not display.

Nice idea to have Sally B and the Lanc parked together. Let's see if they get her airborne again, before the Tattoo.

I know RIAT is a military show, but having seen the Flying Bulls DC-6 at the weekend, goodness me what a display. Maybe one of the best i’ve seen in the past few years.

I think it’d make a welcome addition to split up wall to wall jets.

After serving with Yugoslavia, it went on to serve with the Zambian Air Force - perhaps a formation flypast with one of their C-27J another year?

(Well it's a Wishlist after all!)

Italy also joined the Tornado special livery party, would be awesome to get this one on static!

It is a wish list so I will say I would love to see a tornado in the flying also.

You should have been there last year for that.... 🤷‍♂️

I'm actually wishing at this point that if anything further is to be added, it isn't loud pointy things. There's plenty (too many of some types) already & I think I'll have had enough after half of them are done! 😬

Hm not sure if i’m a fan of that.

Looks like the classic Raspberry Ripple scheme gone awol!

However, wouldn’t complain if it was part of a Nato flypast. Nothing can beat a Tonka take off!

I like that a lot, its certainly eyecatching, lets hope its on the list of statics from Italy when they are announced along with The 4 Stormo and tiger Typhoons and the HH-139s.
