Typhoon is an afternoon display now. No carrots.
Do you know what time the typhoon is due to fly yet ?
Thanks

I don't have an exact time but have been led to believe its towards the end of the scheduled flying display. My guess is just before the Reds who will close that part of the show - but only a guess.

Bit disappointed to be honest. I do like a good twilight display where the burners can be easily seen. Very few opportunities in the UK. Far more common stateside.

Any idea where the F-86 Sabre might be operating from?

Can anyone hazard a guess at which items, if any, will be based at the event? I've never visited before but decided to book camping for the weekend, so interested to see what it's like!

Gyro, Wingwalkers, Turbulents, Mono, Stampe, Extra and the Fournier should all be on the ground, the Grobs usually fly in at some point ready for their evening display on the Friday.

Hopefully the ground will be dry enough - it's been wet for a couple of days out of the last 5, but not too much forecast over the next two days and dry Saturday and Sunday. The wind looks like it "should" be ok for the balloon lifts, it caused real issues last year even for tethering.

There is no landing runway as such, just a field. So only limited to what smaller planes can take off and land there.

Good that they have managed to get Sally B for the Friday/Sunday with the withdrawal of the BBMF. They have obviously had to do some last minute juggling with the display as they haven't sent out their timings email yet.

Hmmm, according to a posted schedule for tomorrow, it mentions Typhoon pair at 16:35?

According to IWM Duxford Facebook page

Sabre 6 and P-38 Lightning are no longer coming to the UK this weekend due to weather across Mainland Europe.

A real shame to lose the P38 and F86 two of the stars of the show gone thanks to this rubbish weather. Edited to say Midlands Air Festival the genuine account not one of the fake pages have confirmed some additions have been added to the flying display and said stand by for announcements.

P-38 and F-86 still showing as attending on the website. Where did you hear about the cancellation?

Could be a single pass with the Rolls-Royce Heritage Mustang since both we will be wearing D-Day invasion stripes.

The 'pair' possibly reflects there will be two Typhoons in the air (transiting Coningsby - Exeter) and perhaps they may fly through together before/after the solo display.

I'm more concerned that it isn't a display but a display recce which usually involves both aircraft

What would be the point of a recce given its only attending Midlands on the Friday.
