I like that a lot, its certainly eyecatching, lets hope its on the list of statics from Italy when they are announced along with The 4 Stormo and tiger Typhoons and the HH-139s.
Yeah lets hope for the normal great support from Italy in the static. With the Tonkas coming to an end, would be nice to get the Italians over again to join the Germans. You also can't beat the chest thumping noise on departures day of the Tonka!!
Airshows 2024 - Duxford VE day, Duxford Summer show, RIAT, Duxford The Americans, Eastbourne, Miramar, Pacific Airshow

Maybe a bit too late for this year, but the German Air Force A350 looks classy. Having had the A340 attend before, it be nice to see it's successor in the static park.

If you squint at the A319 that's coming, it looks just like their A350. Similar livery, fewer windows.

Do you do that for all fighters and transports then? So a KC-10 is just like a Hercules or a B-52 becomes a Strike Eagle. Interesting.

Nope, but if you squint at the F35A, it can become an F22. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It would be amazing to the Tonka Flying again this year. After last year we were very well treated, however seeing them year after year is something I would never get bored with. I can see the Italian Confirming more this week.

If Bulgaria were to make it this year, are their mig-29s or Su-25s permitted to fly in uk skies? Just trying to imagine whether it’s a possible scenario to have one.

Wishlist wise
Norwegian F-35, P-3, AW101, and/or the Yellow Sparrows
It seems nowdays that Norwegian aircraft are some or the rarest NATO ones. Used to be everywere really haven't seen them for years.
Well 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Norway retired the P-3 last summer, so you can call it 3 out of 3!

Didn't even notice I had written P-3 meant a P-8.
But I'm okay with the 4 types/10 aircraft (!) announced today.

Well, on Tommy's "Your questions answered" thread, I asked why no D-Day 80 theme, and lo and behold DBH suddenly announce one!
So to follow that, maybe I should ask "Where are all the JP/Strikemasters, Chipmunks, Bulldogs and other Cold War kit which would fall under the 'NATO 75' theme?
( Granted they're currently all grounded, but the BBMF's WG486 is particularly appropriate given it's BRIXMIS service )

I'm hoping that there might be a JP added at some point soon too - Black XW333 or South Arabian G-PROV/104 in particular.

On the subject of ex-military odds and ends turning up at Fairford in July - something from Historic Helicopters' fleet would be most welcome - a NATO 75 Junglie or a return of the Whirlwind?

They should talk nicely to SWAM and ask them to send XP672 for static.....I think it's still painted grey, so it'll fit in perfectly with all the modern stuff. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Albeit not one of theirs (79 Squadron), at least its actually representative of a genuine RAF JP scheme. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

If they felt like parking it next to the SwAFHF Tunnan that would be good.

Also Turkish Aerospace Hurjet will be flying at Farnborough. Not on my wishlist so much, but I wonder if anyone else would appreciate seeing it?
