Odd that they’ve listed the sea hurricane when at the show the other day they said that it might fly late in the season. The Friday fly in element is what I’m waiting for details on it sounds intriguing but I’m very vague still

Important to note the flying display starts and finishes earlier on the Sunday to allow the fly-in visitors to depart - could be both a blessing and a curse for photographers, depending on what else is scheduled for the flying display and vice versa if any interesting visitors turn up!

Still nothing about what's happening on Friday. The website is still saying "details to follow" which at over £30/ticket isn't very helpful.

Are we assuming the Tempest won't be ready on time and the BBMF will not be airborne again by then?

Need some replacements, a Curtiss Hawk or something different from Duxford not usually seen at OW would be nice.

Happy to be corrected but I believe the Curtiss Hawk 75 has only ever displayed at Church Fenton and IWM Duxford. (It was down to display at Shoreham *that* year but for obvious reasons didn't. It's a fantasticly rare performer away from Duxford, I'd love to see it at Shuttleworth.

The Hawk 75 has certainly been to La Ferté-Alais

...and Villaroche now I think about it.

You're right in any case. Any of TFC's Curtiss Hawks would be fantastic to see at OW.

It’s why I’ve just gone for the main show days. The format for the Friday sounds quite good but still no details of what we are hoping to see just makes it too much of a gamble. Im there for the Saturday and Sunday as they are looking excellent though

Unfortunately I can’t go over the weekend so it’s either Friday or nothing. At least I can leave it til nearer the time and see if any further details emerge.

Spitfires and Mustang are all very nice, but it still all adds up to a very samey display as previous ones.

I've no idea what RIAT has to do with OW, but as you've brought it up - ETPS King Air, Canadian Kingfisher and AETE Griffon, German A319, Jordanian F-16s, Moroccan F-16s, Norwegian Safaris, Norwegian Merlin, Norwegian F-35s, Portuguese KC-390, Romanian F-16s, Serbian CASA 295, Slovenian C-27, Qatari NH90, Qatari F-15s, Vinka, Draken Honey Badger, Turbo Firecat, are all IAT debuts, many UK debutswithout going into the likely many debut special schemes that will be on show, so yeah just like RIAT.

Good reasoning there Caper. :nerd: There's degrees of hard to please. You've got:

2] Very Jaded
3] Cynical
4] Plain Miserable!
I'm all of those sometimes (often?) but I know when to keep Quiet too! :zipper_mouth:
