Hope it all works out for those going, it looks a decent line up and Sunday loooks Ok weather wise. I just feel £50 is a bit steep for the as yet unknown and the line up has taken a hit for the real goodies - R4D, Tempest etc, and I'll risk waiting for the Corsair at OW and Electra and Fury at Cosby this year.
Wouldn't mind some clarity from the Organisers regarding the status of 'Placid Lassie'? Firstly on Static, then elevated to 'Flying' to possibly fill the vacant Tempest slot, now apparently omitted from the Flying Schedule!
Very disappointing situation as I want this Event to be a blinding success, not a succession of cancellations.
Lots of cancellations but no replacements Fokker, 2 Mustangs, Turkish Spitfire, Tempest and whatever happens today with the Dak and A26! I mean it's nat as if there are a couple of world class museums within a stones throw full of historic aircraft that could fill these gaps!!!

Good point well made - it's as if the organisers haven't got a Plan B for this most likely scenario - something(s) were always going to cancel.

Me, being cynical, I'm starting to think maybe they were never coming in the first place to make the line up look good? No, surely not?
The A-26 just left Salzburg and headed north before turning NE. It may be coming via Leszno as they have mentioned both shows on the Millionairfbos Instagram feed.
The "Western Airlines" DC-3 has her spa mask on and she's been getting a bit of TLC while they enjoy more of the English countryside. Here's a quick update on the status of our U.S. based aircraft:
*DC-3 "Western Airlines": currently at Goodwood Aerodrome (EGHR) - starting the journey back to the U.S. following departure from this location - no confirmed date for departure.
*C-47 "That's All, Brother": currently at North Weald (EGSX) - starting the journey back to the U.S. following departure from this location - no confirmed date for departure.
*C-47 "Placid Lassie": spent some time with our great hosts at @flugplatztannheim (EDMT) - now back at North Weald (EGSX) - relocating this weekend to Sywell (EGBK) for the airshow.
*Million Air A-26 "Millionairess" currently in Salzburg, Austria with Red Bull Air Force - possible plans to be at Sywell Airshow this weekend.
As the aircraft begin to make their way home, we will not be able to specifically confirm dates or times for departures or arrivals to their next stops. Each aircraft will be working on a bit different schedule and returning to a different home base. The one thing you can count on in aviation is a need for flexibility! All updates are weather and maintenance dependent, as always.
Not sure Sywell too happy about the A-26:
The A26 owner appears to have decided to go to Poland today, which is not what we had agreed. We are trying to resolve that, but we had no heads up on this.
