Does anyone know if and when the F-15QA is displaying at FIA tomorrow? It's not on the schedule shown on the app, but I'm aware that the validations have been done and flying aircraft have arrived.

Does anyone know more about the rules around photography? I'm going with my son who wants to make a vlog about his visit, but we're struggling to find any videos on YouTube that anyone else has made in previous years, and the FAQ has this warning. Does this mean that we can't publish any photos / videos at all on the internet?
----
Can I take photos or film during the show?
The use of photographic equipment is allowed for private domestic purposes only. All other recording and any transmission is strictly prohibited. As a condition of entry to the Airshow you assign to the Organiser (by way of a present assignment of future copyright) the copyright in any photographs or recordings you make at the Airshow.

This is pretty much a standard condition in the small print of many public events now. Its there so people can't make money from videos. You are unlikely to have issues , if there are pleed ignorance and take it down.

Thanks for that.

I was considering doing Farnborough on the way back from Fairford but opted to wait for the Turkish F-4s instead... pleased with the decision! Hoping the F-15 display is decent on Friday!

I'm planning on visiting FIA for the first time in over a decade on Friday. I imagine its changed beyond all recognition but I wonder if anyone has any advice on arriving - is it correct that there is absolutely no on site parking (except for disabled)? I used to quite like parking on the crowdline at Farnborough but I guess that's a thing of the past!

From the website;

Free car parking is available at Queens Parade with a free shuttle bus service to the show site. Please follow the yellow AA road signs marked with a blue "P", or VMS (electronic) signage.

Having just driven through (and seen the F-16 C-390 and F15QA fleetingly) I can confirm there is also nowhere near that you'll be able to park!

Indeed all parking is on Queens parade with a shuttle bus. Visited the show today and it was pretty dull F-15 apart. Some of the static will have gone by Friday to be replaced by the more 'public' items. Atleast it was easy to get into, left home 9:30, in the show by 10.

you have to pretend to be a Pioneer of Tomorrow and book your pass. Once you're through that go for Individuals and Families and it costs £32 65 and + and £36 22-64

You don't have to pretend, lets be honest the people on the gates couldn't give a toss.

The delightful parking on the grass and opening a boot for a picnic stopped for corporate types over a decade ago too. Far more chalets for entertaining and bringing in more funds now.
The Queens park and ride is pretty much it, unless you are a very top end VIP. The buses work, never had any issues during the weekdays.

Just checked to see how much a trade ticket is for tomorrow, £75+ VAT.

That is just daylight robbery.

I went through that and got my pass. I assume I won't have an issue as I am just going as an individual to just view the air display and any other interesting bits?

The Embraer C-390 is departing for Dublin at 0915 this morning according to FR24. Doesn't say where it's going after that.

You don't have to pretend anything. It specifically says that the event is open to everyone including aviation enthusiasts!

I didn't mean Pretend as such; it's just that the website doesn't specifically say Public Tickets as such, and suggests that it's a careers focussed STEM day, which it isn't for the general public.

A few departures listed on FR24 for Friday:

Super Tucano 08.00
Airbus A321 17.30
RDAF F16 18.30
Casa 19.30

Whilst there's not huge amounts on the ground, there's still a few gems to be seen on the ground, i won my ticket so will enjoy whats there plus the kids get to raid the halls. :D

I visited today but stayed off-site; actually got a better view of the planes as they were SO far away, although not of the helis.
The Chinook spend ages circling and climbing to a very great height but eventually aborted the paras drop.

Very spirited performances by the F15QA and F-16. The Italian Eurofighters joined for a brief flypast. The F-35 was also very high. My favourite bits and as others have said not something you see every day were the A321 and ATR being thrown around like R/C models. Jet Pitts just did one jet ascent then departed. Liked the 3 Stampe biplanes very graceful and a nice contrast to the heavy / noisy jets!

The BUFF arrived a bit late but very nice against the half cloudy sky! Left after that but saw the Red Devils drop and a last very spirited F-16 display.
