First participants for JIAD2024 announced. No Red Arrows this year but some interesting additions to the line up this year:

That's a strong start. Was going to give it a miss this year but may have to reconsider, especially if there are more additions to come (particularly something Swedish)

According to the Swedish Airforce Historic Flight website, a Saab B17 will be attending JIAD.

5 weeks to go! Thursday 12th September 2024.

PlanesTV will be live streaming the show again this year for those who can’t make it.

Wow, it must be almost 20 years since I last saw that Saab B-17 in the UK, (when Flying Legends was still a thing at Duxford).
A great line up.

Down to 90 minutes show at this rate, 5 cancelled now inc. some above.

One week on from JIAD, all in all a great show, despite the well publicised setbacks and cancellations.

The Swedish B17 and Conair Turbo Firecat were real gems in the line up - rarities that JIAD is celebrated for being able to attract.

The Swordfish and Bronco displays were majestic whilst the French Air Force Extra and Jet Pitts were absolutely thrilling to watch.

The display flowed nicely with much shorter gaps between displays when compared to 2023.

The Red Arrows should return next year which will hopefully help secure sponsorship and funding to ensure another excellent display next year.

Roll on JIAD 2025!
