A good listen. Made the drag up the M5 pass much more pleasantly than usual!

We roundup RIAT's last few weeks, cover the now-postponed Abingdon nightshoot, and Tom related his Swedish woes. Dom goes on another rant!

New episode out:

Shuttleworth, MAF, the Flying Bulls’ low level DC-3 flight and “is the RIAT flying by display too long”?

It's our 2024 RIAT preview episode! We look forward to the upcoming show (with a couple of now out-of-date lines about cancellations...👀) and our expectations, but we also talk about the shocking changes to the FRIAT package for 2025, especially in light of all the recent reductions in value of the ticket.

I don’t do FRIAT but can sympathise with the situation.

Really enjoyed the vent.

I really hope RIAT is not heading the way of Farnborough.

Hi, an avid listener to the podcast here. Are you not doing a RIAT review on the podcast this year? There was lots of content on the run up to the show, but doesn't seem to be anything afterwards...?
Thanks.
Thanks,
Simon.

Cheers Simon, that’s good to hear (ahem)!

Our RIAT review is online on our website: https://www.airshows.co.uk/reports/uk/2 ... ir-tattoo/

Even for us, we don’t want to be *too* RIAT focused, and effectively we’d just be repeating the content of our written review anyway which wouldn’t be engaging. We’ve got a mixed audience to work with, and don’t want to neglect one for the other.

Cheers!

Tom

Thanks Tom.

That's a shame, for me the more RIAT content the better :-). Last year's podcast on RIAT was so good because we got to hear all the interesting anecdotes, the merch hunts, FRIAT experience and different perspectives from multiple people, which doesn't necessarily 'fit' on the written version.

It sounds like it's been a considered decision, so that's fair enough. I was thinking that I had missed it.

Thanks again for your response Tom,

Simon.
Thanks,
Simon.
