Took a chance with Johns Field for the return of the MH47s back to RAF Mildenhall after they had partaken in Exercise Dark Lightning, I was hoping that given the wind direction they would fly down the runway towards Johns Field, then taxi off at the end like they had done previously, so it was a nice pleasant surprise when they came in on a Runway 10 arrival behind us, straight down the runway and then turned off midfield!
Lucky to have been able to catch these machines twice now and I definitely hope this isn't the last time some of the 160th SOAR kit makes an appearance in the UK!
Here are a few photos including a bonus Macdill AFB based KC135 that arrived prior to the Chinooks arriving

Very nice...

That's excellent luck they came in on r/w 10. Shot 5 of your post demonstrates the problem shadows that would have wrecked the front
of the images if they had come in on 26!
Light on them is perfect & the 2-ship approach is great. Best detail shots I've seen of this visit.

Thank you both for the comments - Thanks Stagger, I think the dual approach is one of my favourite shots Ive taken this year!
