I see the nearby A421 is closed again today - is this a result of more rain on Wednesday or is it still a knock-on from the much-publicised problems last week? EDIT Just seen the local MP's letter from a couple of days ago - I hadn't realised it never re-opened last week.

Good news is old warden runway has now reopened to based aircraft, closed to visitors to preserve the runway surface

de Havilland DH.88 Comet - Shuttleworth
de Havilland DH.89 'Scillonia Airways' Dragon Rapide - Southern Sailplanes (Representing ZK-ACO)
Desoutter Mk.I - Shuttleworth (Representing OY-DOD)
Miles Magister - Private (Representing ZK-ADJ)

The Navy Wings Harvard will be on static display (and is on standby for a flying display) at the Shuttleworth Race Day in Bedfordshire on Sunday.

Decent day, rubbish right but that gladiator display my word it was good! Special mention to the sea and triplane as well for some spirited flying

The Sea? Presumably nowhere near Old Warden as per usual.

Enjoyed yesterday despite the weather. I've been going for many years as I am local and I have never seen the Gladiator displayed as well as that before.

One question though, the Mew Gull. Last Sunday I was at the railway station in Biggleswade and I saw the Mew Gull in the distance. I then didn't hear the engine anymore and feared the worst. Yesterday it appeared to be in bits in the maintenance hangar after a "heavy landing". Does anyone know what happened?

Completely echo the comments about the Gladiator display and the Bronco was on fine form also!

benpk1; I think the Collection Mew Gull last displayed over the Festival of Flight weekend and was in the hangar being inspected and re-covered by mid-July - so it certainly wasn't the aircraft flying around last weekend.
