Re: RIAT 2025
Quite possibly a mistake, or accidently put live an older version of the website. But the mistakes on website was talked about on podcast and then this appeared.
https://www.airtattoo.com/the-airshow/a ... -aircraft/
If you go to the "Aircraft updates" section and then into "confirmed aircraft" it has listed the Canadian F18 and the date of the upoate is after RIAT 2024 took place.
It is the only aircraft on the list and showing as *new*
Wasn't the Canadian F18 the first announced for this years show? So I am guessing they have accidently rolled back to an old version of the website. But again highlights what was talked about in the podcast about mistakes slipping into the page.

Re: RIAT 2025
https://www.airtattoo.com/the-airshow/a ... -aircraft/ is the link to the page that is on the banner on the RIAT website - no aircraft listed on there yet, but possibly they've made their lives more difficult by making a new address for what looks like the new page, whilst also leaving a mess of the old version up too accessible from the route you describe.jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Sat 02 Nov 2024, 6:36 pmQuite possibly a mistake, or accidently put live an older version of the website. Re: RIAT 2025
looking back at flying announcements, we got the hornet last year in december, but for 2023 the announcements didn't start until february so i'd be sceptical that its a flying announcement.
This week last year we did get all the themes announced, so could be that...
Or a video recap of this year which was mostly people walking around eating food and buying stuff with a few clips of flying dropped in?

Re: RIAT 2025
Or maybe a teaser for the things have they planned for the 40th anniversary of Fairford hosting RIAT? I was thinking it is too early for a flying update surely. December last year was due to the North American displays being announced around that time. Or I could act like these idiots that reply to these on social media, Blue Angels confirmed.

Re: RIAT 2025
i did wonder if it might be another book, similar to what they did for the 50 years of RIAT, only this time a fairford based one.CWS wrote: ↑Mon 04 Nov 2024, 11:37 amOr maybe a teaser for the things have they planned for the 40th anniversary of Fairford hosting RIAT? I love how everyone on social media automatically assumes it’s even an aircraft announcement…
My guess is the release of the 2024 after-movie.

People are just after a bit of excitement I guess. Personally I think it’s Luke Skywalker in an X-wing. I just don’t see how they could have any aircraft confirmed this early before the show?milaviation wrote: ↑Mon 04 Nov 2024, 3:18 pmI love how everyone on social media automatically assumes it’s even an aircraft announcement…

They announced the Canadian CF-18 last year before Xmas so they can have aircraft confirmed this early before the show.BenTheBritishGuy wrote: ↑Mon 04 Nov 2024, 4:02 pmPeople are just after a bit of excitement I guess. I have no idea what "unforgettable" thing is being "dropped" on Thursday, but I thought I'd save you all the false hope and excitement. It's not an aircraft announcement for RIAT 2025, as it's only November and we don't have any aircraft confirmed yet.
Cheers,
Peter

Re: RIAT 2025
By mid-day Thursday, the result of the US Election should be known.
So it's quite obviously in preparation for the announcement that RIAT's cancelled & Fairford's closing down because Trump is pulling all US assets out of the UK & Europe.
You heard it here first !!

I think it is actually Yoda pulling wheelies on an e-scooter, my barbers great uncle's step sister is the source.BenTheBritishGuy wrote: ↑Mon 04 Nov 2024, 4:02 pmPeople are just after a bit of excitement I guess. Well I'm afraid your barber's great uncle's step sister's guide dog is in complete disagreement and has communicated very cryptically and cleverly that its Thunderbird 5 performing two earth orbits and sending down pictures to a live screen in the FRIAT enclosure requested by Tommy to fit in with the Eyes in the Sky theme.

I would expect nothing less than the halo forward unto dawn entering atmosphere. Followed my a flypast by red dwarf. If that doesn’t happen I’ll be extremely disappointed. Worst RIAT ever!
