Hahnweide 2025

Post by Mike »

Europe’s biggest and best vintage aircraft fly-in is back for 2025, after a 6-year break. Dates are 12-14 September. I hope the airshow is as good as the last few they’ve held there.

Well worth the trip, and very close to Stuttgart.

I've been impressed by previous reports about this fly-in and am quite tempted to visit Hahnweide. Assuming that it's a simple flight to Stuttgart and then pick up a hire car there check in to a hotel/motel? Are there any alternative (cheaper?) ways to this festival?

For as far as I can work out you can travel from Stuttgart to Kirchheim by S-bahn as many times as you like on a day for less then 15 Euro, (www.bahn.de) then a free shuttlebus to the event. Of course, prices can change, as it is still more than a year to go. Stuttgart is a big city, so a hotel there shouldn't be much of a problem.
A weather forecast is a forecast and just that

Except the epic view of take-offs and landings, is there anything else unique to this event? Trying to figure out if it’s worth the effort of planning a trip over

Yes, well worth the trip. Always one of the best aviation weekends you’ll have anywhere.

Just received news from a German friend of mine that a Bf-109E is booked for the show.
