Re: Current aircraft being restored to flight

Does anyone have info on the Hawker Tempest PR533 repair? I know it flew twice last year before it hit an issue and has been grounded since, but I have noticed that Clacton (has since cancelled), Bournmouth and East Kirkby have got it advertised to be flying all within the next few weeks? Is she ready to fly again now and I missed the news?

The Anglo Arabian Lightning Org are looking looking to recruit 2 engineers to facilitate the operations of the(one of?) Sea Harrier at St Athan.

Looks to be fairly close to flight then?
They have just reposted an advertisement from John Sparks who runs Horizon Aircraft Services at St.Athan. AALO aren't involved.
Ah that makes a little more sense now, but still the fact they are actively recruiting for such a role must mean postive things.

With the latest list of recent changes showing on G-Info, of interest was Spitfire Vc G-MKVT/A58-81 (BS199), registered on 11th November.

Registered owners:
HELIFAN PTY LTD
25 BISHOP ST
KELVIN GROVE
QUEENSLAND
4059
AUSTRALIA

A bit of digging around online suggests it is a wreck that has been at the Point Cook Museum in Australia, but I don't know if it is still there?

Tbh if its at Duxford or Old Warden next summer I shan't care whether it's a restoration or new build.
