I really like that poster! Better than some of the recent RIAT ones in my opinion… Hopefully Cosford can catch a foreign jet display team or 2 again as Colteau Delta really were a massive highlight this year. Drone in the corner is also very interesting!

The theme this year is ‘Commemorate, Celebrate, Innovate.’
Could they have been any more vague with the theme? (Of course, if the line-up ends up very strong, no-one will mind, but surely they could have thought of something a little more specific as this sounds like just about any airshow and says very little about anything setting the show apart in 2025).

Theme is rather generic and could apply to anything however that poster is great.

Will be there in Cosford Club again.

Fly Fano Team sounds familiar, I dont' recall seeing them display but were they on static at RIAT? possibely for the trainer theme in 2022?

Credit where its due that poster is a cracking bit of artwork. One of the best airshow posters I can recall seeing for a good many years.

You lot are easily pleased!

Why is everything in the background carrying far more close up detail than the Spitfire at the front with the Star Wars villain in the cockpit?

I'm thinking of attending, but a YouTube video of the 2024 event gives the impression that the display line is a long way from the spectators enclosure. Is this true?

Not overly far no if you are talking about the Cosford Club? I was able to get a lot of close up photos on a 300mm lens.

The French Mirage's were quite far off at the start though.

Not distant, just regulation 230 metres, as anywhere else. The crowdline is straight, and quite short, and you will get lighter aircraft that operate off the airfield taxying, parking etc between crowdline and runway, so quite close.

I understand the runway at Shawbury is closed for the next 18 months to fixed wing operations.

Wonder where fixed wing military Cosford participants will operate from? If there are any as a result!

Would imagine more assets to use Brize, as previously Belgian F16's used it for Cosford. Even Waddo had the Mirages for them last year.
