Always a good one for the calendar.

The show is south-facing, but there’s an excellent spotter’s area south side. One day in, one day out.

Another one I am keeping an eye on. If ... IF a Mig 29 or SU 22 are confirmed I will give this a go. Make a short city break to Warsaw with an airshow thrown in, why not!

Just mind that it is a few hours drive from Warsaw. Show tends to start early and end late, so maybe find some accomodation closer to the base. Thought that Poland had retired the Fulcrums and Fitters last year?

They’re not retired, but they have no interest in showcasing their Soviet-era hardware. The Poles are all about presenting their modern Western kit nowadays, undoubtedly for Mr Putin’s benefit.

In 2023 their participation was reduced on previous (normal) years - three Fitters and Fulcrums apiece in the large flypast (a spectacular sight), and then a pair of Fitters doing a few fast passes, and lacklustre flypasts/a break from a MiG-29/FA-50 pair.

Plus one of each on static.

It might be different in 2025, but I wouldn’t expect a huge amount. Might be worth sticking around for Monday for static departures.

A word of warning on this though - the departures day as part of the spotters package was pants in 2023.

While we were placed southside, the enclosure was over 300m away from the runway so we were battling heat-haze all day. Additionally, the lighter aircraft and helicopters entered the runway from their most accessible taxiway and departed away from us, with little to no effort made to bring anything anywhere near the assembled photographers. We were also booted off-base around lunchtime, before the likes of the Polish MiG-29 and German Orion had departed too.

Thanks for all of your replies. I read that although they are at the end of their life spans, both the Fitters and Fulcrums are still hanging around for a couple of years. Like you all said, it doesn't mean they are going to be active at all. I just thought if, a big IF, they get announced in some flying capacity I'd love to see them one more time. I know it is a long shot but you never know ! Only time I think I have seen the fitters was that pairs demo at Riat, which was class ! You also can't beat the old smoky fulcrum as well.

Plus the Sukhoi flypasts in the evening show. One of the highlights in 2023 if you ask me.
