01 - Due to open to the public soon, a new museum has been built over the remains of The Curtain Theatre, which opened in 1577, and was home to William Shakespeare’s acting troupe, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, who performed there between 1597 to 1599 and it is believed that Henry V and Romeo and Juliet were first performed at The Curtain Theatre. The stain-glass displays in the entrance display scenes from The Winter's Tale.

02 - Opposite the museum is a large mural depicting scenes from William Shakespeare’s plays.

03 - The vertical ripples in the metal cladding represent folds in a theatre curtain with the outside seating area representing the seating used in the theatre.

05 - A popular Hollywood film location. It appeared in the 2012 James Bond film ‘Skyfall’ where the entrance lobby, bottom left, posed as the entrance to a skyscraper in Shanghai, and the Atrium, with the leaning columns, could be seen in the 2017 film The Hitman’s Bodyguard where Ryan Reynolds was escorting his client Richard E Grant to his car.

22 - First opened in 1900 as the London Hippodrome, it was used as a venue for circus and variety performances. After many owners, like Bernard Delfont, Peter Stringfellow, and many renovations and makeovers over the years, it reopened as The Hippodrome Casino in 2012.

A Blue plaque on the wall reads ‘ Animation And Recording Studios, MONTY PYTHON film maker lived here 1976-1987’
