I thought I’d make this thread to separate the predictions for weekly updates to prevent any false speculation. Please mods remove if deemed unnecessary

So I’ll start for 13th march update:
Spanish navy harrier
RDAF assets
Some civvie statics

Agreed. The wishlist should be on Facebook or such.

If people just say what they think this weeks update will bring then I can't see a problem unless people start saying oh I hope this country brings this aircraft then that is totally different and wish listy.

Putting the wish list on Facebook or such would not be a good idea with the amount of daftys there is on there.

Yeah I can get behind leaving the main thread for things announced or just stuff to do with the show itself.

But it is nice to have a place to just discuss things about Riat. Speculation or predictions etc. Riat is not a thing I can talk to mates or people at work about because it is not mainstream lol. Just nice to be able to chat with people that know what the show is. By Wednesday stuck at work I am counting down the hours until 12 Thursday to get another update!

So for this week hopefully Spanish Harrier flying, maybe some German assets or Danish and maybe a Civ or 2

Just asking.. Why are they futile? It's a hobby at the end of the day... I can see why people have an issue with a random Wishlist but a separate thread for realistic predictions is a bit of harmless fun.. I personally think it's a bit of a nice idea to have a chat and discuss the coming updates - it's not doing anyone any harm (in my opinion of course which doesn't matter but you get the sentiment)

I think maybe something from the Spanish Navy or something from the Swedish who i seem to recall being quite early updates but that might just be me

There’s very little in my mind to distinguish random guessing (which inevitably descends into “I hope”) as a wish list.

There’s little point in locking the wish list thread if we’re going to get a weekly “I hope” threads.

Speculation and discussion is lovely - if there’s something to discuss. It’s perfectly ok, in this day and age, to find that there’s not much to discuss about the show yet.

If you hear a (credible) rumour of something attending RIAT, or, want to discuss any of the aircraft actually confirmed, we’d love to see that.

What we don’t want is just baseless chat about things that have no relation to RIAT at all, save for “I’d like to see them”.

Ordinarily we might give a pass to this sort of thing, but we’ve been quite clear to be heavier in our moderating this year.
