Re: The RAF Puma Farewell Thread
Only eleven Pumas left unaccounted for on the list at the start of this thread - great work all round so far
.
XW224 has already appeared in this thread in three different special schemes, and its old colours, so here's one of it in it current green attire...

Re: The RAF Puma Farewell Thread
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all and especially Professor M for these awesome pictures. I've been through my own photos and cross referenced my logbook but you've got all the ones I have pictures for with confirmed tail numbers I'm afraid. It's wonderful seeing the odd favourite cab (210 and 217, but I also love Trembling Treble Two as well) Going to be quite emotional on Thursday! Thanks again, James

Re: The RAF Puma Farewell Thread
With the farewell flypast concluding today, a quick look at the excellent ukserials site (http://www.ukserials.com) suggests that some of the eleven Pumas unaccounted for so far may be somewhat challenging to cover with a run of accidents in the 1970s - others are perhaps more surprising to have not been featured this far...

Re: The RAF Puma Farewell Thread
I hope he won't feel I'm shopping him but a quick search revealed that Shaun Schofield of this parish has a pic of XW218 in his flickr stream!Professor_M wrote: ↑Thu 27 Mar 2025, 7:46 pmWith the farewell flypast concluding today, a quick look at the excellent ukserials site (http://www.ukserials.com) suggests that some of the eleven Pumas unaccounted for so far may be somewhat challenging to cover with a run of accidents in the 1970s - others are perhaps more surprising to have not been featured this far...
