I' have a feeling the Chinook role demo and the likes of Wildcat etc on static are going to feature in this weeks update

When you're trying to sell tickets there is no benefit in holding things back. The earlier the funds are in (remember early bird are limited by number, not date) - the better.

Re: RIAT 2025
You can kind of predict what to expect each Thursday, just by looking at what other airshows are announcing, for example, this/last week the Hellenic Air Force and JAC seem to be sending its confirmations. It does take a bit of the fun away, maybe spontaneous updates once in a while would be better? I am also thinking about doing a year without seeing any information of what is expected to attend, but that seems to be very hard with updates being posted all over social media.jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Mon 14 Apr 2025, 7:32 pmI' have a feeling the Chinook role demo and the likes of Wildcat etc on static are going to feature in this weeks update

Looking forward to the next few Thursdays (and the rest), feel like we have a good base to this show. Hoping for some big pulls, they always deliver

Ah like in the good old days when you turned up and everything was a surprise. Re: RIAT 2025
the trick is to treat the announcements as a wish list, and then get there and enjoy whats on the tarmactankbuster wrote: ↑Tue 15 Apr 2025, 10:37 amAh like in the good old days when you turned up and everything was a surprise. Those who state it was better when you showed up and didn’t know what was attending, you know you can still do that right?

Re: RIAT 2025
Week 11 update
This week we have another flying display confirmed as part of our 'Eyes in the Skies' theme, with a pairs display of photo-reconnaissance Spitfires! Provided by Rolls-Royce, we'll see their Spitfire XIX join a Spitfire XI to perform a display routine together, to showcase the Merlin & Griffon engine Spitfires together in their blue colour scheme. They will fly on all three days of the show, but the current plan is that the aircraft won't operate from RAF Fairford.
Continuing the theme, we have a further static addition from the Spanish Air & Space Force, with their VIGMA D.4 aircraft now confirmed for RIAT25. This aircraft is used for maritime patrol and search and rescue around the Balearic Islands and will be a very rare visitor to the UK.
In addition, a highlight for aviation enthusiasts will be the first-ever visit of Hellenic Mirages to RIAT! We're extremely pleased to welcome a pair of their Mirage 2000-5 aircraft, from 331 Mira, for static display at the show. We have asked the unit to bring 1x single-seat and 1x twin-seat aircraft, so both models can be admired by visitors to the show.
Finally, two more civilian aircraft for the static display come in the shape of a pair of ex-RAF Bulldog training aircraft.
This week we've also heard from Ireland and Qatar, who both plan to send aircraft for static display at RIAT. Once we confirm the final details, they'll be added to the aircraft participation list in the coming weeks. Likewise, discussions with countless other operators continue with a mix of exciting flying displays and rarely seen aircraft for static display being worked on for RIAT25.

Wow my favourite aircraft of all time in a 2 ship display really looking forward to that one well done dbh.
Spanish VIGMA D.4 is an awesome catch and those Greek Mirages saw them at Leuchars years ago so will be good to see them again.
All in all a cracking update this week.

Spitfire duo = personally it will be a toilet break. Also disappointed with no f4s from Greece, I was holding on getting sanicole tickets, flights etc with hope that they would appear here, time to get booking! :/

I am doing Monday departures first time this year so I would've preferred f4s, Mirages... well, I already got to see one last year, provided by the French AF.

How can the most iconic aircraft of all time be a toilet break for any plane enthusiast?bobby 1211 wrote: ↑Thu 17 Apr 2025, 12:09 pmSpitfire duo = personally it will be a toilet break. Re: RIAT 2025
Greek Mirages are superb , excellent update again this week. Has to be the only show in the world that pulls ridiculous items every week and people still can’t be pleased.
Re: RIAT 2025
You’d have seen a Phantom too.bobby 1211 wrote: ↑Thu 17 Apr 2025, 12:15 pmI am doing Monday departures first time this year so I would've preferred f4s, Mirages... well, I already got to see one last year, provided by the French AF.

Re: RIAT 2025
But the Greek F-4s came last year, and I suspect did more of a flying display than Sanicole is going to get. Hellenic Mirage 2000 are a real rarity, to be savoured. Super catch.bobby 1211 wrote: ↑Thu 17 Apr 2025, 12:09 pmSpitfire duo = personally it will be a toilet break.
