Are there issues with the Flying Days ?
If IWM members get free admission and they all book tickets then surely there would be no tickets left to sell to general public. And if the weather turns bad on the day those with "free" tickets simply do not attend.
Secondly is the crowd number limited on a Flying Day to that of a normal museum entrance number, not an airshow capacity with the additional north side car parking?

I would doubt if the first sentence is true. The third sentence I'm not sure about but I've usually had to park on the north side.

Ready 4 Duty went direct into Duxford today instead of stopping in Scotland. She's just landed

Looks like the VE day has sold out already, fair play

With the inevitable cancellation of the Catalina due to it being stuck in France with engine problems, this weekends d-day flying day does look a bit thin with ‘only’ 3 spitfires, the wildcat and thunderbolt, and a grasshopper

Peter Kuypers' Staggerwing added to the list, Catalina removed as expected.

It appears to be a rather thin lineup - could really do with a handful more warbirds.

Not so bothered about missing this one now. Severn Valley Railway 40s weekend for me.

For me it's a particular pity if tomorrow's show is called off as 7th June marks the 60th anniversary of the first airshow I attended. This was at North Weald and was one of the earliest appearances by the Red Arrows.

Really enjoyed the Spitfire displays yesterday. Excellent.
