Just waiting to get into the enclosure. The good news, the forecast 40mm is passing north of Oxford, no rain forecast all day!

Morning Andy,

Which forecasts are you using? Tomorrow looks horrendous

Morning Andy.

I hope you get Blue skies and sun today, and throughout the weekend.

Think you mean today? And the onslaught of weather is heading away and around the north of Fairford. Should be relatively dry at Fairford today.

Looks bad, but it's all based on the idea that this rain currently being experienced will swing back round and hit us again. Which I have to say, on the met office weather radar it seems to be depleting as the day progresses. You watch, later tonight forecast will be for sunny intervals.

The risk of showers is there yes, but they are scattered, so Fairford may not get one at all. Be positive

From their Facebook page:

This has obviously been an extremely difficult week for not only the Role Demo Team but also all those on XV(R) Squadron, the personnel at RAF Lossiemouth and also the wider Tornado GR4 and RAF community.

All of our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the familly, friends and colleagues of Squadron Leader Sam Bailey, Flight Lieutenant Hywel Poole and Flight Lieuteneant Adam Sanders.

We are also praying for the speedy recovery and return to full health of the 4th member of the Squadron who was injured in the accident.

After much discussion, the Team have decided to continue with the display at RIAT this weekend as planned. We feel that it is the best way we know to pay a fitting tribute to the lives of 3 fine airmen.

The Tornado Role Demo Team has been given the option to practise at Fairford tomorrow morning at about 1044. The times for Saturday and Sunday are still flexible but the latest times we have are 1646 on Saturday and 1715 on Sunday. We are also hoping to have the pyros team with us again.

We also have an option to do our Validation at Farnborough on Monday but details of this are still to be confirmed.

May we pass on our sincerest thanks for all the kind words and commments that we have received, not only on Facebook but also on Twitter and from the people and organisers we have spoken to over the last 2 days, while we arrange our details for the next 2 weeks.

Your commments are very much appreciated.

If the Tornados do display - it will be very emotional for the crews involved and also a very special tribute to the crews involved in the accident earlier this week.
Thoughts and prayer for all familys and friends involved.
Blue Skies.

Check out http://www.raintoday.co.uk

Looks like showers heading in from the East. A large thunderstorm is developing over the south coast and hopefully will have blown itself out by the time it gets to the Fairford area.
Tomorrow could be much the same
