Much more likely that MSN006 can't be used for display flying because of terms in the future owners contract with EADS/Airbus. I would also think that the big boys going along to F'boro during the week would prefer to look at an aircraft that they knew was production standard - and Airbus would prefer to show a production standard model instead of a flight test aircraft - there are many differences.

Boff - awesome work, thanks for doing this for those of us who can't make it (me included!).

Can anybody aknowledge the rumors about the Tornado not displaying their role demo due to the fact that two tornados from their squadron crashed yesterday?

Just been told that the Role Demo WILL be performing at Fairford and Farnborough, in memory of their colleagues killed this week.

With this weekend being the first RIAT since their and Jon and Sean's from the Reds' deaths, I expect a tear or two to be shed from many.

Must be, the spare is a standard bird and the 1sqn special is being used as the display aircraft.

Note for those that haven't seen this aircraft, the scheme is different on each side of the tail!

Good morning!

Just waiting to get into the enclosure. The good news, the forecast 40mm is passing north of Oxford, no rain forecast all day!
