All these different aircraft and all you want is the bloody vulcan really

I dont see the point in your hate for the Vulcan?! Its one of the most graceful, and noisy aircraft in the skies of England, I dont see how everyone doesn't like it because the pilot doesn't put enough 'power' into the display, she must be a very fragile aircraft being old, such warbird getting thrown around would damage the airframe, which they don't want damage, after all, it costs so much to repair, and they are hoping to keep it flying until the end of 2015, so they're not exactly going to throw her around like modern fighters, so they can extend her life!

Wouldn't get too upset about it. Anyone who doesn't like the Vulcan clearly has no soul. I'm surprised they've not complained that the BBMF doesn't barrel roll the Lanc. :)

Not everyone has to love the Vulcan. As I said it leaves me cold. Seems like no ones allowed an opinion, and has to like the Vulcan. And if I have no soul then so be it.

Hi Andy

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your posts and the photos.

Being stuck in the bunker that is Base Fuels (deep on the North side of the airfield) I got to see the arrivals via your excellent photos.

Very much appreciated by me and the Aircraft Refuelling Team ...

Cheers, Ian

Aye the numbers that you can't actually read in the photo due to them being dark on dark and the sun not being fully round yet. Looks like 346 carries that special Petra tail art.

Both 345 & 346 wear this tail art, this one's 345 and easily readable in the excellent photo !

That is a pretty new tail art on that 345 as, I saw the 345 one month ago without the art....

We hope you enjoyed looking back over 2012, and on to 2013!

The year the Americans forgot, a swansong to French Mirage F1s, and MidAir’s Canberra made its appearance in gorgeous hemp colours. And let’s not forget the Super Connie! 😍

Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” was on the radio for a solid three months, and for once, the UK summer was blessed with good weather for pretty much the whole season!

Pour another brew, and flick back through the arrival highlights of 2013.
